Hi, I’m James. I’ve spent the last few years travelling around Asia and Europe, and this is where I share what I’ve learned.
I’m from Kildare, Ireland. The travel bug bit when I moved to the USA in 2015, and I’ve been chasing it ever since.
Since then I’ve lived on three continents and visited 23 countries. I spent almost two years of that travelling full-time through Southeast Asia, Central Asia, India and Turkey.
I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of travel writing that calls every beach paradise. I only write about places I’ve actually been, and I’ll tell you when somewhere didn’t live up to the hype.
I started faheyjamestravel.com to share practical tips, honest guides and a few nudges towards faraway places that deserve more visitors.
If you’re an adventurous couple or a solo traveller, you’ll feel at home here. Expect snorkelling days in the tropics, mountain hikes, and the old Silk Road cities of Central Asia.
